Bohemians V Bray Interviews + Adam Kelly's Night of Bohs

Bohemians V Bray Wanderers interviews HERE

Bohemians vs Bray Wanderers, FAI FORD Cup Quarter-final,17th September

Bohs ran out convincing winners in this FAI cup quater-final. They outclassed their oppenents Bray who have had a quite simply brilliant ressurection under new manager Pat Devlin!

There was no real chances in the first 20 minutes but out of nowhere Mark Quigly collected a ball from Raffaele Cretaro 25 yards out and unleashed a magnificent shot which swerved past the reach of Matt Gregg. But the Seaguls almost responded immediatly when Gary Shaw`s long range shot was saved by Chris O`Connor,he pushed the ball to the edge of the 6 yard box, where Dean Zambra got a touch to the ball put the Bohs defence cleared off the line!!!

A few minutes after the start of the second half Cretaro made it 2-0. A brilliant ball from Killian Brennan sent the former Sligo Rovers man through 1 on 1 where he calmly slotted the ball beyond Gregg.

Bray`s chances were all but ended 2 minutes later. Cretaro was once again through 1 on 1 but Shane O`Connor pulled him down and he was rightly sent off for being the last man back.

Substitute Aaron Greene all but made sure of Bohs progressing as he rounded Gregg and tapped into an empty net. But Greene had his head in his hands a minute later when he once again he rounded Gregg but SOMEHOW failed to score into an unguarded net from 10 yards out.

And that’s how it finished. Bray will no doubt be looking to bounce back from this heavy defeat as they face UCD next week. Bohs travel to the Showgrounds on Tuesday night in a game they will be desperate to win to keep the pressure on Shamrock Rovers at the top of the Airtricity League table.
